B5.7.2 Side and rear boundaries

Side and rear boundaries between houses must be a maximum of 2 metres high to ensure privacy for residents whilst avoiding overly high boundaries that can create overshadowing, a sense of enclosure, or visual intrusion for neighbouring properties.

Exception: Where boundaries are combined with raised ground levels that would result in a total height exceeding 2 metres, the maximum boundary height may need to be reduced accordingly.

Where new brick walls are proposed, these should:

coordinate with the dwelling materials
include detailing or piers every 3 metres to avoid long, monotonous sections
