B4.5.3 Junction spacing

The geometry of new junctions must consider both the type of traffic on the minor route and the existing or anticipated traffic flows and speeds on the major route.
Code: C4.38
The number of new accesses, junctions, and private means of access must be limited near sites that generate high pedestrian flows (for example schools). Any accesses considered acceptable in these areas must not require vehicles to perform reversing manoeuvres onto or off the street.
Code: C4.39
At junctions, the minor route must meet the major route at approximately a perpendicular angle for at least the first 10 metres.
